Sam has been my voice teacher since the pandemic. I was stuck indoors and desperate for a creative outlet – and singing was something I loved but never really had the opportunity to explore in any structured way. Finding his YouTube videos online was a bolt of excitement. As someone who grew up playing violin in orchestra, it was so cool to see him break down a wide array of music and in a new, yet accessible language.

I vividly remember around that time looking at where he was based to see if I could swing an in-person lesson when visiting a friend in Arizona. Lucky for me, Sam also offered virtual lessons and thus began a multi-year journey of musical exploration, discovery, and complete joy. Singing is such a magical gift and Sam has unlocked so much of it for me – building confidence, honing proper vocal technique, and challenging myself to find character, color, and depth to my vocal performance.

Through his studio’s virtual vocal recitals, I have felt an awesome connection to a global community of people and artists, all of whom Sam has sharpened and empowered.
